First impressions are important to me. I look for unique properties in my subject. Each painting is a marriage of my personal interpretation, executed on paper with technical experience and intuition. Art is a pleasure and enhances my life. |
| Claire McCausland |
My interest is in depicting the beauty of nature, showing its growth and development, the changes of natural forms with the time of day, the seasons of the year, and the life cycles of animals, people and plants. Lines, shadows, contours, patterns, and colours inspire me; sometimes creating works from a small portion of what I see: a panorama or combination of many images. I experience great Joy when watching the work appear on the blank paper or canvas, and when I am able to create something that will bring joy to the observer. |

Sharon has been an artist for 20 years. Her passion for painting started with the use of oils; then later watercolours. Her love of both mediums has given a diversity to her paintings. Sharon's eye for beauty is found in an array of subjects such as animals, flowers, oriental scenes and children. |

Originally I studied watercolour so I could do landscapes, but I found that it is the old buildings of urban landscapes that I really enjoy doing. There's something to be said about the geometric shapes and their relationships with one another. |

To be able to recreate any of the wonderful sights in Canada or anywhere else in the world gives me incredible pleasure and inner satisfaction. I am "a work in progress" myself. I know there is so much to learn and to explore but I feel that as long as I am alive I can learn and as long as I can learn I am alive. |

My joy in art is twofold: to play with colour and to create something of my own. When that happens, to paraphrase the idiom, 'what you see is who I am'. |

Art is a vital part of my everyday life and my goal as an artist is to foster a greater appreciation of life and living through my sensory responses to the environment. |
| Mary Ann Huisman |
My subjects range from nature to florals and landscapes, but my favourite theme is water: the movement of lakes, streams, rivers or oceans. My inspiration comes from the diverse landscape, gardens and people of the Niagara Region as well as her many travels abroad. |
| Betty Petis |
I love to use my talent of painting to transform scenes from travels, photos and her imagination as a lasting gift to family, friends and viewers. I love to try various medium, including paper tole, and oil. |
| Irma Tinus |
My works include vibrant landscapes, seascapes and florals in oil and lush watercolours that depict God's message of love to a fallen world. |
